I love food. I really love food.
I grew up in Pilar, Bataan. My grandparents had a bakery back in the '90s. I spent most of my childhood there. I was always hanging around the kitchen, watching my Lola Uma bake and cook. She taught me everything: how to make lumpia, when the rice is ready, how to make the best adobo.
My Mama studied culinary, too, so I learned from her as well. Between my Lola and Mama, I got really good at cooking.
Now I live in Metro Manila, but I travel a lot for food. I've been to Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau and Cambodia just to try their food. Every trip makes me love Filipino food even more.
I have two cats: Minzy and Junior. They don't help me cook, but they watch me from the kitchen counter.
My dream is to write my own cookbook someday. For now, I'm sharing all my recipes here with you. Thanks for joining me on this food adventure.
